Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for membership of Anticitizen, operated by Anticitizen OÜ. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. By starting a free trial or a paid membership, you agree to this policy.
1. Your 7-day free trial
New members start with a 7-day free trial. The trial is your opportunity to explore the membership in full and decide whether it is right for you.
You can cancel at any time during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid membership begins automatically and your payment method is charged for the first billing period.
2. No refunds after the trial
Once your free trial ends and your membership is billed, payments are non-refundable.
This applies to your first charge after the trial and to every renewal after that. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, for time you did not use the membership, or for any period that has already been billed.
Because you can use the full membership during the free trial and can cancel before any charge is made, we do not offer refunds once a payment has been taken. Please make sure you are happy with the membership during your trial.
3. Cancelling your membership
You can cancel your membership at any time, and cancellation is always free. There are two ways to do it:
- Inside the membership. Open your account settings within the community and cancel from there.
- By contacting us. Get in touch through our contact page and ask us to cancel for you.
When you cancel, your membership stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and it will not renew after that. You keep access until the paid period ends. Cancelling stops future charges but, as set out above, does not refund the current period.
4. EU consumers and your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. The way this works with our free trial is as follows:
- During your free trial you have not been charged, so you can simply cancel and walk away at no cost.
- When you start the membership and ask to access it immediately, you expressly request that we begin providing the service straight away, and you acknowledge that once the service has begun with your consent you lose the statutory right of withdrawal to the extent the service has been provided, as permitted by law.
Nothing in this policy removes or limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded, including your rights if the service is faulty or not as described. This policy applies in addition to those rights, not instead of them.
5. When we may still issue a refund
We may provide a refund where we are required to do so by law, or at our sole discretion in genuine exceptional circumstances, such as a duplicate charge or a clear billing error. Granting a refund in one case does not oblige us to do so in any other case.
6. How refunds are made
Where a refund is due, we will make it using the same payment method you used for the original payment, without undue delay, unless we agree otherwise with you. Refunds are processed through our payment provider Stripe.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above. Changes apply to memberships and renewals that take place after the updated policy is published.
8. Contact
If you have any question about billing, cancellation, or refunds, please reach out through our contact page.
